Most people have a general idea of what SEO is, but most people don’t really understand everything that goes into it. SEO, short for Search Engine Optimization, is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the “natural” or “un-paid” (organic) search results. While if information contained in this infographic is interesting and may get you to think about the timing of your posts differently (this is especially true for those involved on the business side), the best takeaway that can be gleamed here is to know who you are trying to reach and test, test, test. Remember, no one should know your customers better than you.

Here’s a nice little marketing tie in with the Easter holiday. Cree, a maker of LED chips, power LEDs, LED backlighting, power switching and wireless communications devices created a holiday themed video to illustrate how LED bulbs are more efficient than incandescent bulbs. I’m just surprised that with the energy saving theme they didn’t try to also tie in with Earth Day which is only two days earlier.
